SKAPTA builds custom mobile applications for service businesses: organisations whose customers book time, purchase from a defined list, and return. Clinics, gyms, salons, studios, trades and restaurants.
Most of these businesses manage bookings through a telephone line, a social media message, or a web form designed for a desktop computer a decade ago. Their customers are using mobile devices. That gap costs measurable revenue in non-attendance and abandoned bookings.
The obstacle was never the merit of the application itself. It was that commissioning one required a discovery call, a proposal, a substantial deposit and a four-month wait, all before seeing a single screen. That is a considerable amount of trust to require in advance, and it is why most proprietors never proceed.
A different approach
We build a demonstration first: before the call, before the contract, and before any payment. You complete a short form, and six business days later there is a working application carrying your branding, your service list and your pricing, running on a physical device.
You then identify what requires correction. Because we build from your website, there is invariably something. We revise it over the following days, and only then do you decide. If the application is not worthwhile, you keep the walkthrough video and we part on good terms. We would rather spend a week establishing that than an hour on a speculative pitch.
The approach also holds us to a standard. A demonstration we would not be prepared to show is a demonstration we do not send.
Who builds it
A small team that hasshipped before.
Not a marketplace, and not a rotating pool of contractors. The people who scope your project are the people who build it and the people who respond when an issue arises.
Engineering
Mobile and web development, backend and database design, and the whole App Store and Google Play submission process — privacy questionnaires, age ratings, encryption declarations, review responses. We have taken our own product through all of it, so none of it is new on your project.
Support & IT
Ongoing support is handled by staff with more than a decade in IT and systems administration, rather than by whoever happens to be available. When one of your customers cannot sign in on a Saturday, there is a person whose responsibility that is.
Where we are
Based in Dallas, Texas, working with businesses across the US and Canada. Local enough to sit down with you in person if that helps; remote enough that it has never been a requirement.

You own it
The application is published under your own developer accounts, in your business's name, and you control the listing. Should you wish to leave, you retain it and receive a full export of your data. A supplier who retains control of your application is not a partner.
We quote before we work
Any feature outside the agreed scope is priced before work begins. You will not find an unapproved item on an invoice from us.
Security isn't an upsell
Encryption, per-customer access control and audit logging are included in every build rather than reserved for a premium tier. Where health data is involved, a Business Associate Agreement is executed before any record exists. This is a baseline requirement, and any supplier treating it as optional warrants scrutiny.
We say what we don't do
We do not build marketplaces, social networks, or products whose central function is real-time messaging and video. We have a defined competence, and directing you elsewhere is preferable to developing that capability at your expense.
